''The magnificent MTB102 at Eton 2008
(by kind permission of Charles DuCane)''
The lone figure in the stern is Peter DuCane, no doubt feeling the presence of his Grandfather as this iconic vessel cruises on a Spring morning on the Thames. He could compare it to a time long ago when it fought in that vicious period from Dunkirk to D Day, and then came home to tell us the tale. Next to Skipper Richard Basey is Charles DuCane (tall man with the peaked cap). Charles still keeping alive the dream of his father still finding events for MTB102, from Eton to the First Sea Lord, and no doubt more to come. (see 'DuCane's War - click here).
